Grade profile
A sulphate-process rutile pigment treated with alumina and phosphate for laminate paper. Lightfastness rather than TiO₂ content is the governing specification, because the paper is impregnated with melamine resin and then pressed under heat.
Where it fits
High and low pressure decorative laminates and wood grain printing base paper. Retention on the wire and resistance to yellowing during pressing are the two properties that decide whether a pigment is usable in this application at all.
Specifying
Send us your blue wool lightfastness requirement and your resin system. Decorative paper is the application where a pigment that looks correct on paper fails in the press, so a trial quantity before a full container is the sensible route.
