Reading the specification
Melt flow index for HDPE is quoted under different test loads depending on the grade family. A value has no meaning without its load — always compare like with like, and state the load in your enquiry.

- Carbon black content, for black pipe grades
Pipe grades
PE100 and PE80 are classification designations tied to long-term hydrostatic strength, not brand names. For pressure pipe, the classification, the carbon black content and the producer are the three things to fix in the contract.
